Audience: League administrators preparing a youth sports registration period.

How to use it

An operations checklist for opening registration with clear dates, required information, payment handling, and follow-up ownership.

  1. Set and publish opening, closing, late, and refund-review dates according to the league's approved policy.
  2. List the player, guardian, emergency, medical, consent, and code-of-conduct fields the league actually needs.
  3. Test the confirmation message and create a report for incomplete registrations or missing documents.
  4. Assign a person to review exceptions, answer questions, and reconcile registrations with roster capacity.
  5. Before opening, check access, privacy, payment, and record-retention practices with the league's responsible administrator.

Setup notes

Run a test registration using non-production data. Keep the public instructions shorter than the internal checklist and do not publish sensitive contact details.
