How to use it

A printable pre-game card for recording the batting order, starting defensive positions, and the checks that matter before first pitch.

  1. Write the confirmed batting order and verify every player is present.
  2. Add starting positions using the local league's position names and note any neutral or extra-field role.
  3. Mark the first planned check-in or rotation point so the coach can revisit playing time during the game.
  4. Record the coach's reminder for pitching, catching, equipment, or local restrictions without treating the card as a replacement for the rulebook.

Setup notes

Make the card after warm-ups if attendance is uncertain. Keep a coach copy with notes and a clean copy only where the league requests one.

Coach cues

  • Print names legibly.
  • Check the order aloud with an assistant.
  • Update the card when a late arrival or rule-driven change occurs.
